chris34
2.10 Lingfield The geester is Adam Kirby's first choice clearly as he would have sure had the choice to ride the hatrick seeking Bishopbriggs who is up another 5lb and other front runners could tussle for the lead. He last won when dead heating with Elusive Ronnie 3 starts ago and a 3rd last time off new mark and 1lb overweight could be good enough in this company and a nice draw in stall 1 is good. The other interest has to be Teen Ager who tipped up a couple of times after a positve seasonal appearance in what is turning out to be a strong apprentice handicap, last run was not great but usual front running/prominent race didnt happen and should be interesting if backup with the pace today. 0.5pt win the geester 0.25pt e/w teen ager 4.25 Lingfield Decent looking staying handicap and may be worth taking a chance on Danis Girl who has won some decent hurdle prizes this autumn and proved she was well handicapped on penultimate start, was a complete flop last time in an awful form race, no pace and front runner got away and she pulled far too hard, back down 2lb and is certainly of more interest here with a decent pace likely. The other that shaped encouringingly on first run of the year is Rose Row who was just starting to get going with her hold up tactics to get smashed up and no chance after, runs off same mark today and may still be open to more. 0.5pt e/w danis girl 0.25pt e/w rose row
StuSimmy
Re: Lingfield 24th Jan (AW) 14:10 Lingfield Should be quite a tight contest this as 8 line up for this handicap. Raimond Ridge started the year well with a win at this course over 5 furlongs off a mark of 61 (7lb claimer on board). He then ran up in class LTO and did disappoint but back down in class today over a course and distance hes won twice over before could see him back in the winners enclosure. His win here last year was in a Class 5 handicap race for 3 year olds where he went on to win by just under a length off a mark of 72 (5lb claimer on board) whereas today he is running off a mark of just 65 with Matthew Cosham taking off a vital 7lbs once again. My selection has a fantastic course and distance recod overall which reads 12214 and I expect him to run a solid race here once again. The Geester has been running consistently over course and distance and his overall form over C+D is 313 which all came in January so he should be close once again. 1pt win Raimond Ridge @ 17/2 (WillHill - BOG)
