chris34
4.05 Southwell Hardly an inspiring day for AW fans, and this handicap over the straight 5f on fibresand hardly gets me excited with many of these potentially well treaty but showing no real signs of winning, but atleast Lujiana has won a couple of races over CD before putting a rather disappointing effort in last time and is perhaps worth a second chance to prove she can win off this mark again, she has won off this mark on turf last summer and also won over CD as a 3yr old off a 4lb higher mark, drawn 8 down the middle of track which is considered favoured and hopefully a bounce back is on the cards. 0.25pt e/w lujiana 4.40 Southwell Another give a second chance job in Charles Parnell he was always gonna pick something up over CD before sooner or later off a very low mark, finally won again off a mark 64 on penultimate start before finding a potentially useful runner too much when defying a 4lb rise in handicap, runs off same mark today and still 10lb below winnind mark over CD. 0.25pt e/w Charles Parnell 5.10 Southwell Apprentice handicap and unfortunately only 7 runners so only 2 places but Amber Moon has to be respected off a career low mark in handicaps currently, has won off a 2lb higher mark over CD and has recently strung to good efforts together in far more competitive affairs and may shape better under a better ride rom Pike rather than Stokell! 0.25pt e/w amber moon
StuSimmy
Re: Southwell 18th Feb (AW) 16:05 Southwell Very competitive affair this, especially with several course and distance winners lining up. My selection lies with Guto who has four course and distance wins to his name. Two of those wins have been off today's mark of 65 so he is definately well handicapped. Was 2nd over course and distance LTO off a mark of 67 in a 7 runner race where 4 of those line up today including the winner Where's Reiley but due to the 6lb rise in the weights and the drop of 2 for Guto, I feel the placings can be reversed. Kelly Harrison is on board again who takes off 3lbs. Guto beat one of the main dangers today in Figaro Flyer over course and distance in August 2009, they were on level weights that day but today Guto will be 4lbs lighter so I expect him to hold that form. 1pt win Guto @ 13/2 (WillHill - BOG)
