Lingfield 13th Feb

15:00 Lingfield Cracking race in prospect here with many of these racing against each other recently which is making things harder to crack. Had a quick look at the market on betfair and one definately stands out on the prices just now but I realise the SP will most likely not be the same by tomorrow so hopefully I have time to get up in the morning to get a decent price. The Johnston trained Cairnsmore will most likely go off favourite and is in with a great chance although off a mark of 96 in his first handicap race may be quite tough for him despite hacking up at Kempton on his UK debut. Baylini won a similar contest LTO at the end of January and escapes with just a 1lb rise in the weights so she will be dangerous once again off a mark of 90. There was a tightly bunched finish that day which involved four that re-oppose here in Confidentiality, Winter Fever, Mafeking and Full Toss who were all within a length of Baylini. Out of those I like Confidentiality best and she is the one that stands out at current prices on the exchanges for me at the minute at 19.5. She finished just a short head behind Baylini as she was just headed at the finish and should go close once more off the same mark today having won over course and distance back in December off a 7lb lower mark and placing off a 1lb lower mark over course and distance on his penultimate start. Its hard to discount many of these and it should make for a very competitive race. 0.5pts E/W Confidentiality @ SP

Re: Lingfield 13th Feb Just beat me to it! 14:25 Lingfield My belief is that Theatre Street can make a winning return after 156 days off. Had it's first 4 races of it's career here at Lingfield, finishing second twice (at 6f + 5f) before getting off the mark (off 5f). Then had a decent run for a third. Had a duff run at Yarmouth before romping home when getting to the front at Epsom. Looked to have bags of speed then and I think can dominate the race from the front. LTO ran poorly but I feel that wasn't to do with being hassled at the front. I don't think there is too much that will decide to go with him, although Billy Red loves it from the front but doesn't have the natural speed IMO so will sit just off him. Such a quick pace will suit Indian Skipper down to the ground and I feel that is a big danger. If Theatre Street is fit, then it has a brilliant chance of giving them too much to do in the final furlong. Tin Cha Woody makes the drop down in trip and I don't believe he has the natural pace off a 6f horse. Yes, he looked impressive LTO at Southwell but he fluffed the start then and if he does that today, he'll have a hell of catching up to do. Timeteam seems to be overrated in the fact that it was staying on well at 5f. That doesn't always transfer to 6f and he may be given too much to do from the rear. Methaaly hasn't shown that much, is a danger on best form and is well handicapped, but not a realistic pick. Hayley Turner on board guarantees strong handling and this horse has relished such riding. Turner is so good from the front (as shown on the Ruth Carr this evening at Wolv...) and I think she can bring it home. Small amount @ 13 on BF, will have a more sizeable bet in the morning.
