Gingertipster
Now Francome wants to have a "no whips trial". If using a cushioned encourager is wrong; then what about those big things that get in the way? How many horses die from whip use? Open ditches, water jumps, normal fence, hurdle, whip. Of the above, which one causes least serious injuries / fatalities? If the whip is banned then surely jump racing will be next.
yaut
Re: Another whip debate ... If the whip is banned then surely jump racing will be next. and what would then happen to all those jump horses? I know! We'd eat them for breakfast in form of sausages :unsure that'd probably make everybody happy. p.s. this jump season I've seen three fatal injuries while watching racing on the telly and they all came from hurdles.
