1.20 Southwell Lujiana had shaped badly recently but caused a small upset last time out over CD and now takes her course form to 121 and the first win came off a 10lb higher mark and gets into this race without a penalty as the win came in an apprentice handicap and may have another chance to boost her southwell profile. Handsinthemist is another horse that has a good record over CD and shaped well enough last time out on seasonal reappearance and was beaten by 3 1/2l by thoughtsofstardom and with the yard in fantastic form at the moment 6 runners 3 winners would suggest fitness should be a problem today and now looks well handicapped running off a 3lb lower mark than last win over CD. 0.5pt win lujiana 0.25pt e/w handsinthemist 1.50 Southwell A tricky staying handicap on the fibresand with several inform sorts silken promise was collared late on over CD but tends to set the race up for others but sure to give his running again, but preference is for Russian invader who went down by a short head to dan buoy on penultimate start and that form is working out very solid with Dan buoy going on to win again and in hurdle company aswell, and was running on very strongly on latest start but was left far too much todo in the end a more positive ride today would see him to good effect round a course he appears to be running well at without success yet! 0.5pt e/w russian invader 2.20 Southwell Follow the flag has been handed a nasty draw from stall 12 but perhaps not a massive problem for him as he often gets stuck out the back and presented late and is well known to need things to fall right, he won well on penultimate start and ran well last time out finishing all too late off revised mark which would suggest he could win off this mark and Cannon gets on well with the horse. The other interesting contender is im ova here dad, who often goes well when fresh and has won over CD twice and ran a good race on penultimate start off this mark and wasnt beaten that far on last time out over a trip far from ideal but in return recieves 2lb reduction and aslong as fit he could go well. 0.5pt e/w follow the flag 0.25pt e/w im ova here dad
