Do you think a profit can be made?

Recommended Posts

Hey, I am new here, although I have been browsing this section for the past couple of days. If this is the wrong section I am sorry and you may take whatever action necessary. I bet big, if you will. I usually do this when I am 95% sure of something happening. For example, Celebrity Big Brother - First Eviction last Friday. After browsing online polls, etc, I was fairly certain Katia would be evicted first. She had 2/5 odds. So I placed £300 on her eviction, and got £120, as I expected. If I had £3000 spare I would've betted that and would've made over 1 grand. The way I basically think is 'No Risk, No Reward...Take a stupid risk and there will defiantly be no reward'. I grew up with my Father gambling on horse racing, so I wouldn't say I'm new to it. Over the past couple of days I have browsed peoples predictions and written on a piece of paper horses people have said...and 80% of them have come 1st, 2nd or 3rd. The majority of them being 1st. There's a bunch of talented people here. For example, today a huge bunch of people were saying Matsunosuke was going to win at 3/1. I wanted to go out and bet £150 but thought 'nah I'm still new to this'...and it won. The majority of people here pick horses which come in 1st/2nd or 3rd place around 30 - 120 minutes before the race. What I feel like doing is when I spot a horse that has been mentioned a lot here, to bet say £2.50 each way. I'm sorry if I come off the wrong way.
