Lingfield 9th Sat

Recommended Posts

2.10 Lingfield One of the best races we have seen on the aw for months, extremely competitive and some classy horses in the mix. It would be dangerous to dismiss atlantic story who is lurking at the top of the weights, he is extremely prolific on the aw but has been lightly raced recently and run some respectable efforts on the turf last season and has gone well fresh before and only 2lb higher than last win on the all weather and a decent enough draw in stall 6. Imprimis Tagula has improved time after time this winter and romped home in a similar event on the fibresand to make it look easy, and again won last time out back on the polytrack, does tend to give the impression he is better suited to the fibresand BUT he just keeps finding more and it’s a shame Cannon isn’t down to ride him today but another useful apprentice has been found to help claim 5lb of his weight back and again well drawn in stall 5 The other one I am gonna go to battle with is Fathsta who had been knocking on doors recently and finally rewarded his supporters last time out at kempton over 6f, up 5lb for those 2 decent efforts and is potentially still around a decent mark to strike again has won off a 1lb lower mark and placed off higher marks, biggest concerns are the draw in stall 11 although nothing major for a major hold up horse who is gonna need things to fall right BUT Martin Lane takes the ride and although he showed plenty of promise at start of the AW season he is on the cold list now and appears to not be riding with much confidence but does claim a useful 3lb. 0.25pt win fathsta 5/1 bet365 0.5pt e/w imprimis tagula 7/1 vcbet 0.25pt e/w atlantic story 11/1 lads

Re: Lingfield 9th Sat 2.40 Lingfield I am not convinced the price is necessarily right but cant see it drifting too much come the morning therefore gonna put him up tonight aswell. Aeroplane who is another prolific winner over the aw scene and was recently claimed out of a claimer by Evans who has a good record with turning around aged horses back to their best and he is clearly doing that with this ol fella having run respectably in listed company on first outing and then extra well back in handicap company when second to falcativ under this jockey who is gonna be getting to know this horse from riding him at home etc. and is able to claim 5lb. The biggest threat is of course the Rowley mile specialist plum pudding who I warranted to go close especially if getting an easy time up front, but unlikey to get that with beauchamp viceroy in the lineup who continues to excel himself in these sort of events. Plum pudding has had excuses for his last 3 starts but my initials thoughs now are that his season has come to an end has gone a bit over the top and possibly in need of a break now ready for a summer campaign. 2pt win aeroplane 6/5 sj
