Ruby Walsh is due to ride Cooldine at Leopardstown at 1.25pm and will then have to fly over to Newbury to ride Big Bucks at 2.40pm. How long does that journey take by helicopter and will he make it in time? 2.40 Newbury Hard to see past Big Bucks in this race and I'm not going to bother looking for an alternative outright. I am interested to see if any bookies are doing a winning margin bet as it only seems to do enough and cruises up on the bridle like last time. I am also interested in the w/o fav market and like the look of Karabak for that type of bet, it's 12's outright for the race but no prices in the w/o fav market at the moment. Will have to check again in the morning but feel that is the way to go with this race. 2.05 Newbury Finians Rainbow is likely to go off fav for this race, currently 7/4 with one bookie and while it was really impressive here last time out that was only a class 3 race. There are two rivals with proven Grade 2 experience that are stepping up to Grade 1 and they are Manyriverstocross and Reve De Sivola. Those two are 100/30 and 7/2 with PaddyPower at the moment and I'd prefer those two against the favourite in this race. Manyriverstoscross has looked very impressive when winning, smoothly getting into contention and winning races in style and looks like a typical Alan King horse that will be heading for the festival in March with a decent reputation. They were saying on BBC how Nick Williams does well with juvenile hurdlers and his Me Voici then went on to win at 10-1, Reve De Sivola is from his stable, has a Grade 2 novice win and the trainer won this race last year with Diamond Harry. Looks like a very good race and one to throw up plenty of future winners.
