12.55 Southwell Good handicap with many question marks over several of these having first runs for new stables etc. but Imprimis Tagula is an extremely useful sort on the fibresand with 13 runs and 7 wins round here and after last run here went on to win a handicap at lingfield on polytrack for first time and a good second to seek the fair land last time out under penalty, effectively 1lb lower today and a useful 7lb claimer takes the ride today to eases the handicap rise. Eisteddford is a total newcomer to this surface tackling it for the first time but is useful over 7f on turf and polytrack and was last seen in august hold his form well an does have a very good record of going fresh and has won group 3 and listed events before and doesn’t get much chance in handicaps but looks on a fair mark. 0.5pt win eisteddford 6/1 bet365 0.5pt win imprimis tagula 6/1 bet365 1.25 Southwell First swallow won with some ease over CD on penultimate start and was then tried at 6f round here again on last start but clearly didn’t quite see the race out, and has never run with much promise over 6f so the return to 5f is sure to suit much better and this mark doesn’t look beyond him over the flying five here. 0.5pt win first swallow 5/1 1.55 Southwell Don pele returned from a 99 day break last time out at wolverhampton to finish a brilliant 3rd and a return to form looks imminent, has previously won over this course over 6f but just as effective at 5f and now runs off an 8lb lower mark than last win in handicap at lingfield. Culhane is back on board again today after a good ride last time out. 1pt win don pele 2.25 Southwell Jazrawy came back from over 640 days off last week round here over 1f shorter in a seller and wasn’t on that favourable terms and beat some better treated horses on OR and that would therefore make this mark look reasonable and has completed a hatrick round here winter 07 and even won off a 10lb higher mark than todays 60 and if last time wasn’t a fluke and is in form this could be ripe for the picking today! 0.5pt e/w jazrawy 2.55 Southwell Profits reality is yet another that has come on well for a break and made it 2 wins from 3 runs round here and maslak went on to frank the form when runner up to Sircozy last time out and is now up just 3lb for that latest effort and has won off a mark of 81 previously round here and runs off 78 today, he has also won off a mark of 91 in his younger days. 2pts win profits reality

Re: Southwell 22nd Dec (AW) 13:25 Southwell First Swallow has a 100% record over course and distance winning 1 from 1. Made all the running that day and won by a length. Attempted the same tactics LTO at the course over 6 furlongs off 5lbs higher. Was a good effort and is likely to be in the mix of things here off the same mark especially dropping back down to 5 furlongs which is the distance both this horses wins have came over. Makin takes the ride again having been on the horse for the win here and the 2nd LTO. Mr Funshine could be one worth watching at a nice price, is a course and distance winner off a mark 6lbs higher and was 3rd LTO behind Best One but is now 6lbs better off in the weights. 1pt win First Swallow @ 4/1 (Bet365 - BOG)
