Placepot betting

Hi, I have been looking into placepot betting recently, and saw some old (ish) threads here where people (stewart mostly) have done some Placepot betting. I am wondering if people place any restrictions on which race (track) to pick, and how many runners to pick in each race? Or is it mostly intuition based? I read in one of the (famous I think, but quite rubbish at that..) 'systems' that you should pick the track which has 2nd highest price money (total) for the day. Don't quite remember the logic, can't be that solid after all... Any pointers at all? Thanks!

Re: Placepot betting I would have thought the biggest placepot would be at the jackpot meeting? I've won a couple of times - £8 from a £1 stake and the second time was even less! I reckon an ew accy would bring a better return, most me the time.
