wingerli
There are 2 parameters(Goals for Home term and Goals for guest term ) when using the poisson distribution to predict the result. But How can get the goals for Home term and for guest term? Some similar are: Goals For Per Game, At Home/Guest Goals For Per Game, Last Season/This Season To Date Goals For Per Game,,Last 6 games for Home and Guest? Goals Against Per Game, At Home/Guest Goals Against Per Game, Last Season/This Season To Date Goals For/Against,Last 6 games for Home and Guest? just one factor or weighted average?Who can give me some suggestions? Thanks in advance!
Smoothplanet
Re: Help!!How to get the RIGHT goals using the poisson predict? Average number of the goals scored for team per game, monitored over "some" time. I'm not a big fan of poisson models.
