Re: First Goal Scorer Lucky 15's Ok mixed results - early days but a good return from the 4 folds each way! Much more than I anticipated! Bank 1 - Lucky 15's - No winners but Bendter not playing returned 3 points so loss of 12 points. Bank 1 = 53 points Bank 2 = 2 winners; Hughes and Chopra 2 placed; Defoe and Berbatov - It would have been a lot better if Luke Moore had scored his penalty as well! Skybet paid out the following for this;

Bet TypeAccumulator
Leg TypeEach Way
Bet ChannelInternet
Number of lines420
Stake per line£0.10
Total stake£42.00
SettledY
Number of win lines83
Number of void lines2
Returns£84.87
Refunds£0.20
This is much more than I expected, did they make a mistake? Can anyone clarify this? Profit of 43 points - woo hoo New bank = 543

Re: First Goal Scorer Lucky 15's Don't think they've made a mistake. Basically getting 2 correct first goalscorers made you the profit. Interestingly I did the same bet as you but with 10 selections and only to score in 90 mins market (as said above). I had the same wins as you (2 first Hughes & Rooney and 2 during 90 lita & beckford) and made a loss, so perhaps using e/w IS the better way to go.

Re: First Goal Scorer Lucky 15's No mistake, it can be very profitable as I mentioned. Last year I had 6 winners and 2 placed out of 10 one week and the returns that week covered me for the whole season!(for that bet each week I mean) Tip: Look at La Liga and Bundesliga and the Eredivise for thsi. The compilers are not very clued up and give big odds on FGS's, and these are 3 very open leagues with a lot of chances/goals Don't think that calculator does E/W and I'm not exactly sure how they calculate...... Another sneaky one is an E/W "patent" on 1st goal scoring defenders/big odds players. Basically pick 3 players at odds of over 20/1 to score first E/W. Try to get dour looking matched where the first goal is likely to be scored from a set piece. Some players to look out ofr are Vermahlen, Gallas, Terry, scharner, Samba, Vidic,Glen johnson...Basiclly goals scoring defensive players...

Re: First Goal Scorer Lucky 15's Just looked at the teams from the weekend. 4 out of the 10 selections (Carroll, Norwood, Sills and Bendtner) did not start so that is part of the reason why there was so much returned. Shame as it narrowed down my chances straight away. Still gutted about Moore's penalty miss for WBA as not only did it cost Bank 2, also I had a bet on +2.5 goals - Double whammy! VF- I do like my value 1st g/s bets - Terry is not one of my picks anymore though, he used to be but has only scored 3 premier league goals in last 3 seasons! I like Roger Johnson, Carvallho and Baines as well - Ian Harte and David Unsworth used to make me nice money back in the day as well!!! Lesson to learn - less risk taking on selections - I need to try and be as certain as possible that the selections will start the match. 4 out of 10 is not acceptable for this system. 1 / 2 can't be helped....sometimes.

Re: First Goal Scorer Lucky 15's Bank 1 = a 2 timer - woo hoo Aguero and Picquonne (admittedly at short odds!) meant a return of 29 points. New bank = 67 points Bank 2 = 2 winners (as above) and 1 place (Altidore, Hull) 1 selection still to play tonihgt = Pavlychencko. So fingers crossed of a winner here. Hopefully he should start.

Re: First Goal Scorer Lucky 15's I'm away this weekend hence the early post of selections and bets! I'm not going to bet on the Bank 2 as I don't want to make 10 selections with little or no team news. I will have a stab at bank 1 though!
