3.50 Yarmouth 2 notebook horses go in this race first being bombina won his maiden round here last year and has been running well this year on softer ground but seems t run a lot better on firmer ground so should suit much better today, finished a few lengths behind Rafta who has gone to win again off a 20lb higher mark and looks extremely useful Miss sophisticat has looked much better recently and ran a cracker in handicap time before last when seen back in maiden company, ran then off a mark of 69 and is raised 1lb for that effort, the visor has been ditched and is tried in cheekpieces for first time today which one hopes has the desired affect 0.5pt e/w bombina 0.5pt e/w miss sophisticat

Re: Yarmouth 6th Aug SURPRISE PARTY 3.50 I follow all horses by Red Ransom in 3yo handicaps throughout the season on good ground or faster. This one got my money back for the season winning over course and distance last time. Was rated 71 for her nursery last season ( ran badly on gd/sft) and still only 69 today with more improvement to come ROYAL BET 4.50 Goes handicapping after three mediocre runs. By Montjeu so trip and ground no problem and maybe the handling of Hayley Turner can bring about the best in him.
