Hills Guaranteed prices???

This is just me being greedy but...backed a winner (Midday) this afternoon in a Hills shop and took the early price of 3/1. The bloody thing won at 11/2! On their site they state:

I am guessing this is only online and not in their shops but, as I'll be picking it up Sunday or Monday I wondered if any Hills regulars know if it applies no matter where you place the bet?
