Re: Kempton 8th July (Eve) 7.20 Kempton Cry Alot Boy makes his handicap debut here and has shown enough in maidens to think he is worth a little dabble at 16/1. He won a bumper on Lingfield's polytrack to show he handles this surface and on two tries over middle distances in maidens has finished second. Either side of those runs he has been unplaced over a mile, but that trip may not have been enough of a stamina test for him. The switch to handicaps may see him break his losing run, and even though he's widely drawn he likes to be held up and should find time to grab a decent position over a race of this length. 16/1 Bet 365 EW. 8.50 Kempton American Spin put in a career best at Royal Ascot, as he faced an impossible task in the staying conditions race. There had been question marks about his temperament up to then as he had failed to build upon his decent form from earlier in the season. I think he is well handicapped judging by his maiden form with Mr Nappy Tandy and he was only narrowly beaten at Wolverhampton on his handicap debut off this mark.
