8.50 Nottingham Alan King's flat runners always warrant a second look and Tombov is no exception here as he looks to be running off a decent mark for his handicap debut. He had Never Lose behind in a Folkestone maiden, and that rival has won off 83 in handicap company. Tombov is rated 75 here. He has fitness to prove but Fergus Sweeney has been riding well for this yard and he can go close at a price. 8/1 SJ.

Didn't look to have the best of runs when a finishing well lto the step up in trip will suit and on a winable mark tonight. This former C3 winner and C2 placer should be on the premises at the business end and with a few poor maidens in the race amongst other will be very hard to keep out of the places.
