AW guru needed ...

Recommended Posts

I have a prospective system for AW races at Wolverhampton (5 + 6f), which looks good when backtested - a nice straight profit line EXCEPT for the beginning of my dataset and at the end. The point at the beginning of the dataset which marks the end of the -ve profit and the start of the +ve coincides EXACTLY with the date that flatstats.co.uk report as when the course was reworked (25 May 2006) (and eradicated the draw bias). The sudden switch later on in the system is worrying - it happened around the end of October this year. Does anyone know of any course reworking or similar that happened at Wolverhampton recently? Do you think they would be forthcoming if I asked them?

Re: AW guru needed ... The commutation from the A/W tracks in this country is a disgrace. Fergus Cameron wouldn’t give you the time of day he’s a total C-nt. No information is generally relayed including the re waxing of the surface but more importantly the preparing of the track on a daily basis. Some times its power harrowed deep especially this time of the year, this creates track bias regularly. <?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

In my experience you need to watch the replays closely and draw your own conclusions and keep records, its very time consuming but worth while in the long run. So in short theirs little to no help available in regards to the preparation of the surfaces you will need to devise your own formula.
