Raven's Pass Retired To Stud

Recommended Posts

RAVEN'S PASS has run his last race with victory in the Breeders' Cup Classic for trainer John Gosden, and will be retired to Sheikh Mohammed's Kildangan Stud in Ireland. The stud fee for the three-year-old sonof Elusive Quality, who concluded his career with successive Group 1 wins in the colours of Princess Haya, Sheikh Mohammed's wife, will be €40,000. Speaking from Dubai on Friday morning, the sheikh's bloodstock adviser John Ferguson said: "Sheikh Mohammed mulled over the options for a few days. "It was a difficult decision to make because the horse is 100 per cent sound and at the peak of his power, but ultimately Sheikh Mohammed felt that, with New Approach and Raven's Pass both retired, we could look forward to the two-year-olds of 2012 with huge anticipation." :clap
