Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September 17:10 Lingfield - Girl Of Pangaea 1pt win. Ed Dunlop takes Three 2-yo's to Lingfield this afternoon. Two of them on the back of lengthy year long breaks (Izzibizzi and Girl of Pangaea). I rarely allow breaks to put me off, it is up to the trainer to deliver them fit to the racecourse, and I don't believe Dunlop would be running them without them being so. Both should win if fit, however of the two Girl of Pangaea looks the more solid option, she looked to have her debut at Kempton sewn up, but greeness let her down in the last few strides, clearly not straightforward, she nevertheless only has to run anything like in the likely quagmire to win. The booking of Dettori also catches the eye.

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September 3.30 Beverley: Harvest Warrior Returned after a break with pretty poor show over 10f at Ripon LTO. Has been dropped 3lbs in the weights for that effort though and now only 1lb higher than last winning run which came here last year over 8f in similar ground conditions (won easily). Loves the mud, should have come on for reappearance run and with stable in good form and ground conditions in favour must be a touch overpriced at current 16/1. Place claims at least. Each Way

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September 210 Ling: Definightly This one looks as though he will handle the ground, has already ran well on good/soft at Newbury. Also has plenty of stamina in its breeding so fairly confident he will run his race which will be more than enough on what the opposition has shown so far. A bit short now the second fav has pulled out but cant really fancy anything else today.

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September Ling 4.40 (AW) 7f cl4 hcp CATIVO CATALLINO CD - course specialist - won 4 pl 4 from 15, regular pilot up who has decent track record also. CC been outa form since last year but looks as tho coming back into it when placed 3rd here last 2 starts. Biggest worry is small-time trainer who has yet to get a winner this year! from his 9 horses' 18 runs, but this could be the one :hope 0.5pt e/w and hope the price doesn't shorten ...

Very good call mate. I was doubting between this one and Chilly Filly but finally took your advise. As my target with horses is one win per day, I am now leaving the Chilly Filly alone. :notworthy

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September Bev - 3.00 - Best Prospect - Win Goes well in the ground and is a fresh horse having had a few months off. He has won coming off a break before. Stays further than this trip and I'm hoping the heavy ground and stiff track will bring his stamina into play. Dropped down a couple of pounds since his last run and is used to carrying big weights over jumps, so I'm not put off by topweight.

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September Leicester 5:20 Pretty open race and it will all come down to who handles the ground. I'm taking a punt with Shenandoah Girl, who won on the soft stuff at Beverley recently, over the same trip. She's run twice since and not too impressively either. She drops back to a mark of 57 today and still has a jockey with a 5lb claim. There was an excuse for the poor effort in the last race in that...it was just a bit too far. E/W

Re: Best Bet of the Day ~ 9th September 5-20 Leicester - Ryans Future - Each Way This horse has won on heavy going, (only one other in the field has done this) over this distance (10f) in the same class of race (5) at Nottingham. He was rated 73 then, and despite being raised for his most recent win he's only rated 63 now. Hs wandered into higher class events (2 and 4) on heavy ground, but to no avail. 13/2 with Ladbrokes (13/10 for a place) 7.8 on Betfair (2.78 for a place) at the moment
