stereoman
Re: £2000 added Stoke Circus Just over 100+ if the interest is there but recent £100 FO DC tourneys have had 65-85 runners... http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/17548 http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/18335 http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/19945 http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/16220 ...with the £2000 added money I assume it'll attract a few more than that though. Last year's inaugural tourney got 105 and was won by Lucy Rokach albeit on chip-count. http://blondepoker.com/index.php?q=node/11420 http://blondepoker.com/forum/index.php?topic=23787.0 I'm tempted to have a go even though I know I'll be hopelessly outclassed (been a year and a bit since I've bothered to play a live tourney). :$
BAM
Re: £2000 added Stoke Circus Yep the normal DCFO they do on a Sunday, that myself and the V's have played before, gets about 80 runners but I should expect this to get around 120-140, so a nice pot. Its a good cardroom and is usually well run by the TD and staff there is usually a free buffet and all the latte you can drink. Morls - It depends on timing whether I stay over or drive there is a hotel 5 mins away that I cannot remember the name of (Andy?) that I have stayed in before for about £50. Valiant23
Re: £2000 added Stoke Circus There is a couple of Travel Lodges south and north of the area, but not really convenient for a rail traveler. In Hanley (S-o-T city centre) there is a Quality Inn about 100-150yds from the Casino, and about half a mile away is the Moathouse Hotel (where Brian stayed). Its a good cardroom and is usually well run by the TD and staff there is usually a free buffet and all the latte you can drink. I can vouch for this. A lot of the players are members of dik9's forum and the cast majority are a good bunch. I'll be quite happy to have a word with people and see if I can arrange a deal on rooms if there is interest...I can't make any promises yet but IF I have my dates correct then our lads will be away with their Grandma which means I should have room for a couple of strays - its nowt fancy but its free. :ok There is a good chance that Sam and I will play this. dik9
Re: £2000 added Stoke Circus There are a few bad apples, but in the main we are just latte freaks :) The Value is tremendous, if I can get out of working the 321 at DTD I will see you there!!
