Soccer - Home Wins V Away Losses

Been posting this a bit in the soccer bets but it was recommended to me to start a thread in Systems and Strategies. Its very basic and simplistic strategy when backing soccer teams. My system is to only back home teams that won last time at home V away sides who lost last time away from home. I will only concentrate on English Premier, Championship, and League 1 as well as Serie A and Spanish League. So far the results have been fairly encouraging. AC Milan V Siena WON 1/3 Sampdoria V Napoli WON 5/6 Chelsea V Liverpool Draw Blackpool V Wolves Draw Bristol Rovers V Oldham WON 5/6 Hartlepool V Port Vale.... WON 8/11 The home team must be favourite for them to qualify for an accum although I will back singles with outsiders. This week once again there are only a few games in England satisfing my criteria Cheltenham V Hartlepool 13/10 Oldham V Yeovil EVS Forest V Swindon . 7/10 :hope

Re: Soccer - Home Wins V Away Losses Pretty poor day, suffering my 1st 2 defeats.... maybe il concentrate more on just english soccer as Continental can be very dodgy..... Worst day so far but only would have lost 1.16 pts if backing singles. Genoa V Sampdoria 13/8 LOST Palermo V Cagliari 5/6 WON Napoli V Empoli 8/11 LOST Strike Rate 58.33%......7/12 Balance of 100pt starting bank to 1pt singles 100.21pts

Re: Soccer - Home Wins V Away Losses Hartlepool V Northampton.... 11/10 LOST Swansea V Luton..... 3/10 WON Strike rate...9/16...56.2% Balance of 100pt starting bank to 1 pt singles...99.34 pts Ok its becoming pretty clear at this stage where im being let down... Regardless of Northampton losing L.T.O away, why in my right mind would I fancy them to get beat after a 4-0 win last time they played! Time to throw a few more nuts and bolts into my criteria... So the new criteria...... 1. Home team must have won last time out at home. 2. Away team must have lost last time out away. 3. Away team must not have won their previous match (i.e at home) If they drew thats fine, but I say whats the point in backing against a team that might be on the start of a winning streak. I know this will probably cut odds dramatically but who cares if my win percentage goes up!

Re: Soccer - Home Wins V Away Losses Three games for me tomorrow, Saturdays seem to go well making a profit for this system but one team always seems to bloody draw letting me down for my trebles etc..... Anyway for Tomorrow iv got 3 matches... Middlesbrough V Reading 5/6 Millwall V Bristol Rovers 5/4 Tranmere V Doncaster 6/5 All Prices are taken from Paddy Power for convienience. Iv actually another team fired in with these for an accum and x trebles but I dont wanna put em in here cos the dont suit my criteria. Anyway here's hoping for a full house tomorrow. :drums

Re: Soccer - Home Wins V Away Losses Dont quite know why I abandoned this last year, exams or something got in the way, for those who forget the criteria : 1. Home team must have won last time out at home. 2. Away team must have lost last time out away. 3. Away team must not have won their previous match (i.e at home) Fairly simplisic but just for fun! Be back with my selections soon.....:ok
