thepoliticaltipster Posted February 10, 2008 Share Posted February 10, 2008 I understand how one calculates rateform points and I know that +150 = Likely home Win -250 = Likely away win Anywhing inbetween = Likely draw However, does anyone know the equation for the relationship between Rateform points and the probability of a Home win? While the probability is less important for competition like the pools, the difference between a 70% probability of a home win and a 90% probability is very important if one is value betting. I'm looking for some equation like: Probability of a home win = 42 + yx where x is the difference in rateform points between the two teams.
