Re: Lay half time score Here today's results. Due to all the 0-0 results, the all matches yield have dropped dramaticaly :@. The crude results of the 'no 0-0 selection' has managed to stay in the plus, however the yield went down to 2.5%.

Hi there, Just new to the Punters Lounge forum, and loving all the ideas posted here:clap All your great ideas made me thinking of a simple system to try out; Laying half-time scores. Does anybody has some experience? A view small rules:
  • Only Betfair in-play matches
  • No laying 0-0 half time scores (after last weekend HSV, BM and Feyenoord :wall)
  • 10 pts per laying per score
  • System may be tweaked to optimize yield (will be posted)
  • No real money, just on paper
I've started last Monday, played the mid-week matches and will post the first results tomorrow. If it holds over the weekend I will continue to post the results on this forum. Cheers :cheers Matt
Change starting 17DEC2007 17:00 CET:
  • All 0-0 HT scores will be backed @ €10,-
  • The ALL MATCHES selection will be abandoned and I will continue with the NO 0-0 @ HT selection.
  • 5% betfair fee correction on all bets made on 16DEC2007.
  • Future gains will include a 5% betfair fee

If also looked at different staking strategies. Current staking stategy (if any:$) is to both lay and back €10, resulting in high liabilities for the lay bets. If you change this to a liability of €10 for each bet (i.e. backing €10 and laying €10/(odds-1)) or to 10% of you current bank, this will have a tremendous influence on the yield (% and absolute). Nice to fiddle around with the data and look for the best strategy.:D
