Too Much Or Too Little Racing

Is there too much or too little racing? With more racecourses being built and in the pipeline where are the horses coming from to fill the fixture list? Do we really want yet more banded rubbish? There are not enough good horses to enable them to put on more good quality racing so I presume it is going to be more grade six stuff. Shouldn't we be encouraging a better standard of racing? Not more betting shop fodder. Our racing seems permanently on the downgrade. It may be nice for those local to these new courses but do we need them? A horse with no form at all has only got to improve a little to win a class six race. These races are not worth much so connections are surely more inclined to try and make it pay with a betting coup, to do that they need to make sure the horse has form inferior to its real chance. Also if a race is not worth winning the more likely connections are to take a bung and stop a horse. Now do not get me wrong it does not happen often but the less races are worth the more likely it is to happen. Ginge
