Just Announced: Play Per Day In light of the extremely long days last year, this year's event has been extended to a five day event. After a talk with Howard Lederer, Jack Effel has just announced that the plan is to play 18 levels today (nine hours), and 15 levels everyday after this (Jack also announced that is subject to change based on the amount of players remaining each day). David Singer Also at this table is last year's W.S.O.P.-T.O.C. Champion, Mike Sexton, our "Ambassador of Poker." Bring in of 200 and completion 800. A Few More Players Took Up H.O.R.S.E. This Year Last year there were 143 players in the H.O.R.S.E. Event. This year there are 148 players. Maureen Feduniak Takes Down a Nice Pot Just before the break, Maureen Feduniak made a big score against "Captain" Tom Franklin. The game was 7 card Stud and Maureen was showing . Franklin had exposed. Feduniak bet every street and Franklin called. Franklin put in a raise on the river and Feduniak made the call. Franklin showed in the hole for a straight, but that couldn't beat Feduniak's for the ace-high flush. With that pot, Feduniak sits at about 104,000 in chips. Farha Scoops a Monster Sammy Farha just took down the biggest pot we've seen yet when he showed down a 6 high straight and a wheel to scoop a pot that saw 4-way action to 7th street. Chad Brown Upset Over Error After a dealer error that resulted in a river card having to be re-dealt, "Downtown" Chad Brown claimed the mistake cost him half the pot as his nut low was counterfeited. Eli Elezra and Cyndy Violette ended up chopping the pot, however it should be noted that the new river card would not have counterfeited an already pat nut-low. Whether Brown is unfamiliar with what constitutes a nut-low hand, or was just getting upset to prove his point remains to be seen, but what is for certain is that he is still a bit irritated. Eli Elezera has won the biggest pot of the tournament on one of the craziest hands our veteran reporter Tom Sexton has seen. After a ton of ram and jam action, Eli Elezera bets blind showing. The other players in the hand, and their boards Tuan Le - Chad Brown - David Chiu - Eli had bet out blind, and when the other players who called did, Eli sweated his card, and jumped out of his seat "Deuce!!" he says elatedly He flips up his down cards , and makes as the other players muck dejectedly. Eli is all smiles. They counted the pot for us, cause we couldn't beleive it. It was indeed a $115,000 pot....Eli is up to over 300,000 chips, and the clear leader at this point. Bechtel bets and Lederer raises. Reese check-reraises and both call. On seventh, all three check and Reese shows -6-J for the pair of tens - and it's good enough for high. Bechtel mucks. Tony G Eliminated Tony G doubled up to 3,300, however, he was eliminated on the next hand. Two WSOP World Champions sent him to the rail.
