Leicester 29 May 2007

29 May 2007 – Leicester 3.55 MARKET FORCES (H Cecil / R Hughes) RP f/c 6/4 Although this race may break up due to the rain and change in going, I believe this horse is one to watch for the future. She makes her handicap debut off a mark of 75, having won a very poor maiden over 1m 4f at Beverley by 11 lengths at prohibitive odds of 1/7. On her only start as a 2yo, she finished 4th beaten 2 lengths by Happy Go Lily (won h/c since off 75) and 1 length by Lacework (won h/c off 82 at Redcar yesterday). Presumably well thought of by the stable as she holds an entry for the Ribblesdale at Royal Ascot. A half-sister has previously won at Listed Class. She has not encountered soft going before but this should not be a problem as another half-sister won her maiden in France over 1m 4f on soft going. Of the other runners declared, the main danger could be Arctic Wind who has won over the distance on good to soft ground. The two other winners this season do not look anything special and I would be confident in putting MARKET FORCES up as the best bet of the dayand one to keep an eye on in future.

Re: Leicester 29 May 2007 :welcome to the Punters Lounge Good write up there Andy - Looks like a pretty sound selection. Other tissue prices I have seen have marked her up at as much as 3/1 but betfair are now trading as low as even money. Will be interesting to see how the betting goes on this one and if I can get anything near 2's I will also be on. GL :ok
