7.10 Roman Maze EW @9/1 Been in my note book for a long time. Disappointing last season, but back with a win at Windsor when got optimum conditions. Namely 6f on gd/firm and large field. Last time out ran well enough when conditions against. Today gets the right conditions again. Stable seem in good form and this the best horse in the yard. :hope he shows it tonight

Reasoning	Ran in a maiden over a mile as a 2 yr old and gave the impression it would come on for the run. Turned out now as a 3 yr old but dropped back to 6f which should suit as it has speedy connections and trainer is in good form recently. Also made its 2 yr old debut at this track September 2006 so has the advantage of a run here. Ew chance.

Reasoning	3rd last time out in a class 4 handicap on good to firm ground. Was staying on that day and is 2lb lower today. Danger that it won't improve as happened last year but certainly worth taking the chance at the odds as it carries the lowest weight and has the 4th highest topspeed rating of the field. There are certainly better looking horses in the field but they aren't the same price and this looks worth small ew interest for if it finds the improvement needed. Placed twice on good to firm, both times for this jockey.

Small ew interest only but decent prices on offer. :hope
