These are my rules that i have stood me in good stead since i began betting on horses many years ago. If you follow these rules you will illiminate most of the reasons for losing bets. You should end up with 1 or 2 bets a day. 1......Do not back a horse that have never won before. 2......Do not back a horse that has not raced for over 28 days. 3......Do not back a horse that is not trained by a top 20 trainer. 4......Do not back a horse ridden by an apprentice claiming 7lbs. 5......Do not back a horse at odds on. 6......Do not back in an Amateur/ladies/Seller/Bumper/Maiden. 7......Only back horses placed in at least 2 of their last 3 races. 8......Only back horses that are 1st,2nd or 3rd favourite.
