zal007 Posted April 2, 2007 Share Posted April 2, 2007 Just finished reading Fooled By Randomness by Nassim Taleb - fascinating book and completely on the money in a number of ways. This has inspired me to look beyond form etc for now.. and work through a 'system' or 'aproach' based completely on chance and random events. Rules: (1) Only invest in matches with two outcomes (2) Favourite odds must be between 1.80 and 1.90 generally on Betfair (3) Lay Favourite (4) Staking Strategy 10 - 20 - 40 - 80 then return to 10 (5) Only have one 'live' bet at a time (6) the first event that is in the coupon list that matches my criteria is selected. (i.e. bring up list of next days tennis coupons - working from top to bottom first one I come across is selected) - if another is available later in the day then select that (obviously when getting time to monitor so this won't be everytime time there is one available). no view as to which sport - just pick first that matches criteria. More rules will be added as more things progress - if it means improving return. I admit defeat AGAIN!!! System 4 defeated. although as with most things do have some positives from it in terms of alternative strategies - running this one through clearly doesn't work.
