Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 I can't let this one pass by me: Alleghe to win (8.25 @ Bet365) I kept an eye on Italian hockey throughout the season, but after some 'strange' results in the last round of the regular season I decided to stay away from Italy. Bolzano was leader after the regular part of the season. They were in play-off group A with Milano, Cortina and Renon. They have played 6 matches and lost 5 of them with goal diff. 15:19. The other teams were evenly matched, but Bolzano was struggling. Alleghe was 6th after the regular part of the season and went to group B with 4 other teams. They were first in group B with 6 wins in 8 matches. They have won 3 out of 4 away matches. Their goal diff. was 40:31. They have played 4 H2Hs this season and the result is 3:1 for Bolzano. But, their last meeting was in the end of January and Alleghe won 1:5 at Bolzano. Bolzano didn't play their best in the first part of the play-offs and Alleghe did play good, so I see good value in this odds.

crazy pown
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 Zug - Rapperswill After being 3 games down Zug manage to make it even. It was hard to do (I must admit I didn,t axpact them to do so), but they are in an another must win situation. As they won 3 consecutive games against the same opponent, they must be very familiar with the feeling. So I expect them to be pchicologicaly ready to win once more. Really appriciate if someone answer to this write up with infos, oppinions, ... GL :hope I agree with you on home win, but I also agree on odds beeing a bit too short. Rapperswill took a 3:0 lead and Zug was in the ropes. In match no. 4 Paolo Duca returned to Zug after 6 matches of absence and he brought the new energie to the team. Zug's goaltender found his form again (after poor performance in first 3 matches). If Zug stays focused tonight, the advantage is on their side. Rapperswill is in good form, but the question is: how much are they affected by the 1:5 home loss 2 days ago. The other problem for Rapperswill is the fact that most of their goals are scored by the first line. Zug will most probably concentrate on stopping those guys and play more offensivly when the other lines are in. The venue is sold out, so the atmosphere will be another advantage for Zug. Everything considered, Zug has got an advantage, but the odds could be a little bit higher (after all it's the 7th match of the play-offs). Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 Hull Stingrays to win (3.20 @ Bet365) The biggest match of the season for both teams. Newcastle is 8th and has a 2-point adventage over 9th Hull. Last position that leads to play-offs is position no 8. If Newcastle wins today, the advantage will be (unreachable) 4 points. If Hull wins, they'll be equalized (Newcastle played one match less). Newcastle has hit the rough patch. They've won only once in last 8 matches. It's not better at home, either: they lost 5 out of last 6 matches (their only win was against the worst away team in the league - Basingstoke). In last month, they performed well only a week ago, when they won at Cardiff. They were the push-overs in the rest of the matches. Hull is trying to catch the last train to the play-offs. Tonight's match ends their long away series (7 matches). After this match, they'll have 5 more matches to go. Only 2 of them will be easy, so every point counts. In last 6 matches (all played away), they have lost to Coventry (1st), Sheffield (3rd), Cardiff (5th) and Manchester (6th team in the league, Hull had a 3:5 lead and lost it 6:5). They have won against main opponents for the 8th place: Manchester and Newcastle. Hull proved that their team is more than capable of playing in the top British league. They are playing as a team and in the last 8 matches they have outplayed their opponents in 6 of them. They were better than manchester two days ago and were very unfortunate to loose. They have lost the concentration in defence and their inexpirienced goaltender Chamberlain couldn't take the pressure. he allowed 3 goals in 4 minutes. The key for tonight's match will be forgetting about the match against Manchester and focusing on this (last) opportunity to get to the play-offs. Hull's coach Strachan was very succesful in morale boosting this season and this could be decisive factor. Hull's goaltender Bielik is still injured and because of that I don't have a good feeling for tonight's match (Chamberlain made a big mistake 2 days ago), but I'll bet on them, knowing that Newcastle is in bad form and that Newcastle doesn't have any unstoppable players. They met 2 weeks ago, also in Newcastle, and Hull won 2:3. The match was even-sided in the first period, but the next two periods were owned by Hull's players. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 Newcastle Vipers - Hull Stingrays under 5.5 (2.10 @ Bet365) I feel more confident about this bet. They have played 5 H2Hs in the British IHL this season and they have played an 'under' every time. Newcastle played an 'under' in 3 out of last 4 home matches. Hull played an 'under' in 4 out of last 6 away matches. Hull is usally the strongest in defence and without their first goaltender they will focuse even more on defending their own goal, waiting for counter attack opportunities. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 And, with the smallest stakes possible: Coventry Blaze to win by 3 goals exactly (6.50 @ Bet365) Coventry is the leader and the strongest home team in the league. In last 6 home matches they have goal diff 24:6. Manchester did manage to snitch a win two days ago against Hull. But, they were outplayed. Their form is bad at home but they are slightly better away. This is clearly home win. The odds at 1.62 aren't much to talk about. They have met three times in Coventry this season and everytime Coventry won by 3 goals exactly. I'll follow this trend.

Hull Stingrays to win (3.20 @ Bet365) Newcastle Vipers - Hull Stingrays under 5.5 (2.10 @ Bet365) Hull lost 3:0 and my 'under' bet covered my 'away win' bet. So I broke even in this match. And, with the smallest stakes possible: Coventry Blaze to win by 3 goals exactly (6.50 @ Bet365) This was the biggest surprise tonight: Manchester won:( Anyway, it was small stakes, so no harm done. Burran
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 Leksand-Skellefteå Pinnacle has a very generous offer for Leksand DnB in this game. Leksand lost the first game in Malmö, 1-5. 4 of Malmö's goals came in PP and that was the difference between the two teams. When playing with with 5 skaters on the ice, Leksand matched Malmö quite well. Skellefteå started out by beating Rögle at home, 2-1. They were the better team and should probably have scored a couple of more goals. Rögle came very close to equalizing in the end though. Leksand MUST win this game. If they lose, a spot in next years Elitserie looks very distant. If they win however, they are right back in the series. I rank Skellefteå as the better team, but Leksand are not that bad either. They've got some really skilled player's and I'm expecting everybody to step up in this game. The key is to stay out of the penalty-box and hopefully the players have learned their lesson from the Malmö-game. A huge crowd will hopefully lift Leksand to their first win in the qualification series. The main reason for this bet however is the price given by Pinnacle. They have 2.21 for the DnB option which is huge. One can compare i to the odds given for straight win which is 2.25 at Betsafe and 2.30 at Betway for example. Leksand DnB is playable to around evens or so imo. Other DnB or ML odds are 1.92 at Unibet and 1.83 at Bet365. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 Cherepovec to win (3.50 @ Bet365) Khimik were shite in the end of the regular season. In last 15 matches, they have won only 3 times: a month and a half ago they won over Niznekamsk (13th, they were out of form at that time), Krylya Sovetov (the worst team in the league) and Traktor (17th in the league). Awful. Cherepovec is way better at home than away. They have 4 wins, 5 loses and 1 draw in last 10 matches. Those statistics are much affected by the influenza because in the last couple of matches the team couldn't count on all players. They have won 5 out of last 10 away matches. These teams played 3 H2Hs this season and Cherepovec leads 2:1. Their last meeting was at the end of January and Khimik was the host. Cherepovec won 3:4. Odds at 3.50 are a great value. Comic Book Guy
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 With small stakes: Dinamo Moscow to win (3.80 @ Bet365) Yaroslavl are not such a big favorites in this match. In last 8 matches Yaroslavl has 4 wins, 2 loses and 2 draws. They have won against MVD (solid form), Cherepovec (5 loses in last 7 matches, hit by influenza), St Petersburg (3 loses in last 5 matches, didn't win away for a long time) and Traktor (7 loses in last 9 matches). They have lost to Togliatti (the team in average form) and Dinamo Moscow (they were in great form at that time). They drew with Vityaz (5 loses in last 6 matches) and Niznekamsk (decent team). All in all, not a stellar performance. Dinamo won 7 out of last 10 matches. They lost to UFA (3rd placed), CSKA (6th - it was local derby) and Togliatti (11th). They have won 4 out of last 7 away matches. Their form is more than good. They have played 3 H2Hs this season and Dinamo leads 2:1. Last meeting was at the end of February and Dinamo won 5:2 at home. Dinamo showed better performance against same opponents in last 2 months than Yaroslavl. Everything considered, the odds at 3.80 are worth a shot. crazy pown
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10/03 Stavanger - Storhamar The semi final clash in Norway. Storhamar had troubles with passing Stjernen in 6 games, but they manage to do it. Now it's a different story. Stavanger ended the regular season on the 3rd place with 14 points behind their todays opponent. All regular season matches ended on Storhamar's account (one in OT) and this tells much of the strenght of home side and visitors in mutual games. H2H history strongly supports my pick here, since Storhamar won 19 of their last 25 matches (lost 4 and drawn 2). At Stavanger they won 8 of last 12 with a single draw and 3 defets. So, although Storhamar doesn't have an impresive away record lately (1 win and 4 loses, most of them against Stjernen if not all) I think that they are able to start the semi series with victory (no doubt they want to). On the other hand Stavanger's home record in last 5 looks just a bit better (2 wins, 2 lost OT and and a loss). Most of these 5 games were against Comet in 1/4 finals and that could tell us something about the home side strenght. Even I don't know nothing about missings or similar things (which can affect the game and final outcome) I belive that the avarage odds @ 2,20 on Betexplorer. com is worth a try. 4/10 Again, any comments are welcome. Thanks and good luck. :ok:hope

Bamse81
Re: Euro Ice Hockey Leagues 10-11/03 Esbjerg - Herning The 2nd game of the semi-finals in this series. Esbjerg have been the big surprise in this play-off since they knocked out Odense and won the first encounter with Herning by 3-2. My feeling is that Herning is warned about Esbjergs capacity and that they will equalise this series to make 1-1. Herning are the better team and have been so throughout the season. During the regular season Herning have won 3 out of 4 mutual games and have won both the away games by 2-1 and 5-1. scorpyon
Very very nice:loon:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap:clap
