Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th) Singapore vs Adelaide A match which will have a big impact on which teams make the playoffs. Singapore are currently 8th while Adelaide are 11th, both sides are with 10 wins each but the Slingers have a game in hand. The 36'ers are in terrible shape at the moment on a 5 game losing run and if they lose this match it will be the first time in 15 years they have lost 6 straight matches. Also they have lost their last 2 matches by 30+ points which is the first time in NBL history a South Australian side has done this. Their away record is pretty awful too with only 4 wins on the road from 15 matches this year and they are yet to win a game outside of Australia this year with 2 losses against the Breakers and 1 loss already this year to the Slingers. On the other hand, Singapore are in a bit better shape. They are a pretty good side at home and rightfully so as teams have to travel up to 10 hours to reach Singapore, their record is 8 wins from 14 which ranks them 7th on the home table. The Slingers have been buoyed by the great form of duo Mike Helms & Marquin Chandler, these guys are dynamite in attack on their day and have some pretty decent support with guys like Brad Davidson, Ben Melmeth & Ben Knight. The 36'ers will be without Willie Farlay again and they seem lost without this guy who is averaging about 20 points a game, so Brett Maher will again have a huge job ahead of him. However i think the Slingers will be way too good here and will record a solid win. Computer Generated Prediction:

Slingers27262727107
36ers2425232496
Suggested Bets to Look Into: Singapore Over 10.5 at $2.25 - (5/10) Singapore -7.5 at $1.90 - (6/10) Total Points Over 205.5 at $1.90 - (4/10)

Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th) Melbourne vs Perth This is the most anticipated match of the round, and perhaps the season. It is an absolutely massive match for either club as they will be playing off for a top 2 spot pretty much, and both these sides are capable of making the Grand Final. Its pretty hard picking a winner here on first glances, but if you look a little deeper you will see Melbourne look a very good choice. In the Tigers last 10 matches at this venue against Perth they have won 8 of them including the last 5 matches straight by double figures. Also a win here for Melbourne will see them celebrate their 400th league win and they will be pumped up to win with the fact that Axel Drench plays his 150th career match. The Tigers arent in the greatest form at the moment but importantly they are doing enough to win matches and a team as good as Melbourne will be looking to peak this time of year. At home this year the Tigers are 13 wins from 15 while Perth have an away record of 8 wins from 14 which is ok. But this will be a very difficult game for them tonight and they will need to look for big games from Shawn Redhage & Paul Rogers as these are two important players. Tony Ronaldson was excellent last round and he will need to bring that kind of form to The Cage tonight. This should be an epic game overall and you can catch it live in Australia on Fox Sports from 7:30. I favour Melbourne to win this but they are a bit short at $1.50 and ill need to find better value. The fact they have won their past 5 straight by double digit margins against Perth suggests to me this has a good possibility of being a good win for Melbourne and Over 10.5 is paying $3.30 so ill try that with small stakes. A safer option is Melbourne on the -4.5 line at $1.90 which im happy to take. I also predict the game to total around 200 points so suggest taking the Over 199.5 points at $1.90 Computer Generated Prediction:

Tigers27272523102
Wildcats2425232698
Suggested Bets to Look Into: Melbourne Over 10.5 at $3.30 - (3/10) Melbourne -4.5 at $1.90 - (5/10) Total Points Over 199.5 at $1.90 - (4/10)

Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th) Cairns vs West Sydney Should be an interesting match, West Sydney have nothing to play for while Cairns have everything. The Taipans hope of a top 4 finish is all but gone now and they must win this game tonight to try and secure a top 5 or 6 finish to claim a home final, while West Sydney are anchored at the bottom with only 4 wins this year from 29 games. On the road they have won only 1 of 14 and they may find it tough against the Taipans who have won 11 of 15 at home. Travelling to Cairns is one of the toughest road trips, but in the last few rounds Cairns have looked a little vulnerable whilst playing here with 3 straight losses and West Sydney would like their chances to cause another huge upset tonight. Looking at head to head stats too suggests to me this should be pretty good as West Sydney lead 15 to 8 overall, and the teams are 6 wins apiece at this venue. James Harvey & Justin Bailey are the key for West Sydney tonight, and if the likes of Ya Ya Dia & and Greame Dann can stand up and be counted, an upset may just well be on the cards. However i find it very difficult to back against a team like the Taipans when playing at home and ill be taking them to win a close one, but its definately not one to stake highly in thats for sure. Maybe even West Sydney with a large handicap is worth a shot. Computer Generated Stats:

Razorbacks2525242599
Taipans26262526103
Suggested Bets to Look Into: Cairns Under 10.5 at $2.75 - (3/10) West Sydney +12.5 at $1.90 - (3/10) Total Points Over 203.5 at $1.90 - (4/10)

Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th) Wollongong vs Singapore Huge game here between these two as the winner may book a place in this years playoffs, while the loser will suffer a serious setback. Both sides have played 29 games each, but the Slingers have 11 wins to the Hawks 10 and a win here should see off the Hawks. But winning on the road is something the Slingers really struggle to do as their record of 2 wins from 14 suggests. The Hawks though havnt impressed at home with only 5 wins of 15 making them the second worst home side. Looking at their list its hard to imagine why they are having such an awful season. Players like Cortez Groves, Adam Ballinger, Glen Saville, Matt Campbell & Casey Frank are sensational players and would probably get a a gig at most other sides in this league, but for some reason they just dont gel together well as a team. New coach Erik Cooks will look to make wholesale changes to this club at seasons end to improve their depth, but he has the foundations of a great lineup with those players i mentioned. I think the Hawks will win this game against a struggling away side like Singapore and will keep their playoff hopes alive, but it will be close. Computer Generated Predictions:

Hawks26262526103
Slingers26262525102
Suggested Bets to Look Into: Wollongong Under 10.5 at $2.85 - (5/10) Wollongong -5 at $1.90 - (5/10) Total Points Over 203.5 at $1.90 - (4/10)

Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th) They didn't need Marquin in the end. Man, Wollongong suck right now. Should have gone the Slingers at $3 head-to-head

Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th)

Anyone fancy a Kings win over the hawks - who played & lost last night?
U195.5 is the play in this one ... I can't believe the books didn't set this total in the mid 180's ... These two teams traditionally play low against each other, then there's the factor of the AIS Arena where they're playing this one .. It's a gym conducive to low scoring games ... the rims are tight and unforgiving and shooters just find it a tough venue to get their bearings for a few different reasons .. The two games played at there this year haven't gone past 165 ...

Laying that many points isn't a recipie for successful punting but in this case I agree with it .. Last night's result pretty much ends the Hawks season .. maybe not in a mathematical sense, but after failing to take care of Singapore (minus one it's imports) at home in must win game I think the Hawks are well and truly shot mentally now ... This will be a hard game for them to lift .. They're coming in against a Sydney side that's clearly confident after a last start win against Melbourne, and Goorj will have the Kings revved up to really run it down Wollongong's throat tonight .. Would be surprised if the Hawks hung around once they get down in this game, as it seems they ineffitibly will at some stage .. Double digit win for Sydney ...

Re: NBL Basketball - Round 20 (Jan. 31st - Feb 4th) Tonights Predictions: _________________________________________

Kings27272526105
Hawks2323242393
I expect the Kings to have a big win here, the Hawks are in a bad way at the moment and lost only 24 hours ago to the Slingers at home. Sydney still have a top 4 spot on the line so cant afford to drop games like this and they will be pumped up to get a big win here. Things arent very happy in the Hawks camp at the moment and i reckon this may well be a blow out win to Sydney... _________________________________________
Crocodiles29292729114
Razorbacks2425252498
Crocodiles are fantastic at home with a 12-3 record while the Razorbacks are 1-14 away and actually had a tough match last night against Taipans, so will have to do well to even stay close to the Crocs here. The Razorbacks have proven recently that they can stay with teams, as was the case last night, but fatigue will play a big part here and the Crocs know they need a big win if they are to snatch 4th spot from Sydney. So Crocs easy... _________________________________________
36ers2424242698
Tigers27272625105
Adelaide host their bogey team Melbourne in a game i expect the Tigers to come out with a win in. It will be close i think, but the 36'ers looked awful last week against the Bullets and have actually lost their last 2 games by 30+ points. So Melbourne to win for me... _________________________________________
Dragons26262527104
Slingers26252526102
This will be a really good match. The Dragons are playing well at the moment and have sealed up a playoff spot, while the Slingers had a good win the other night against the Hawks which was only their third away win in 15 attempts. Because of their poor travelling form it makes it very tough to back the Slingers in this match so i will take the Dragons Under 10.5 but one thing is for sure and its that it will be a high scoring affair. _________________________________________
Bullets29282829114
Breakers2424232596
Ouch, this has the makings of getting very ugly for the Breakers. Not only have they been one of the worst away teams in this league over several seasons (2-13 this year) but the fact Brisbane are playing some of the best basketball in league history suggests to me this will be a blowout. The Bullets have won 14 straight matches and are closing in on the all time record of 16. The Bullets are 15 wins from 16 at home and theres no way New Zealand can win this, let alone keep it close. Brisbane by a mile... _________________________________________

Good luck tonight :ok
