Monday's E-W Fancies

Recommended Posts

Re: Monday's E-W Fancies Only looked at 1 race in any depth and that is the 2.50 race. Plenty in with a shout here and I can see a decent priced winner and some decent priced placed horses in this race. Maletton has won over the distance and on good to soft ground but is too short for my liking at around 6-4fav and it's up 5lb in weight and up in class. Bumper is interesting for Pipe/McCoy but pulled up last time over similar trip and ground so passed over on this occasion. Bohemian Boy has been given a real chance today. 2nd of 3 last time out to a very decent Nicholls horse that was 1-7 favourite, won't bump into anything like that today. Placed efforts over this type of trip and 2nd last time out, stable in good form. Another stable in good form is Alan King's and he runs Calcot Flyer, won last time out by 18 lengths in a class 4 race, didn't look the best jumper but hard to ignore a yard in such good form. That race was over 3 miles so no problems with the trip but up 6lb. I'm interested in Walcot Lad as a value each way bet, it has won over 2m2f and 3m4f making it very versatile regarding the trip. Pulled up last time out after 10/16 fences so not given a hard ride and that was seasonal debut. Before that it's form read 1,1,2. Pulled up and 2nd off 114 rating, same rating today with 3lb claimer on board. Expected SP of around 20-1. Selections: Walcot Lad (Each Way)
