Bill
Colorado has played well at home over Edmonton 21-12-2 the past ten years. Colorado clobbered Edmonton 7-3 Novmber 30th in Edmonton but actually lost to the Oilers 2-1 in Denver in their other meeting However Colorado is rested and on a roll having won their past two games And in those two played on home ice outscoring the opp. 9-3. Colorados offense has really come around and they will be waiting on An Edmonton team that played just last night..winning 3-1 over Minnesota But the Oilers have had a crazy schedule. They played three straight road games , flew home to Edmonton for last nights game with the Wild then had to grab their luggage and fly to Denver for tonights game. It is a schedule blip That every once in a while bites a Western team and normally it ends in a loss. Clinching stat: Tonights game will be Edmontons FIFTH in 7 nights!!! I am playing on a rested streaking Colorado Avalanche over a injury-ridden and likely weary Edmonton Oiler team!
slapshot
Re: Edm/Col I hope this is right place to put the bet I have posted in sport-punter web site :) This is my bet for to nights NHL event: SportIce Hockey EventNHL SelectionPittsburgh Penguins vs N.Y. Islanders Strength4/10 Date15/12/2006 Bookmaker/PriceBetsafe @ 4.10 (Back) ReasoningPrediction: Tie, X Home Team: Pittsburgh is in good trend and hasn't lost in three straight games. The last game they won with 8-4 against Philadelphia. They have a really talanted and excellent offensive, but that will not help to night, if the defens is as poor as it were against Philadelphia. Five last games at home: Philadelphia, 8-4. Florida, 2-3. N.Y Islanders, 3-5. N.Y Islanders, 3-2. N.Y Rangers, 1-2 OT. Statistics: Average at Home: 2.94 GM and 2.94 GA. PP%: 18.0 PK%: 81.3 Away Team: Islanders hasn't played a match since last Saturday and they should be fit for fight. They won the last game at hom with 5-4 aginst Florida after SO. This was the only victory in there three matches at home. Five last games away: NY Rangers, 7-4. Pittsburgh, 5-3. Pittsburgh, 2-3. Toronto, 2-4. Florida, 4-1. Statistics: Average away: 3.31 GM and 2.85 GA PP%: 15.9 PK%: 79.3 Conclusion: Penguins and Islanders have met each other four time this season. They have a victory each in Mellon Arena and the matches has been quite equal in scoring. All these facts points in one direction, this will be an tight and even match, so this game will end in a draw during ordinary 60 minutes. Prediction of match result: 3-3. Did you know? Islanders has lost three of the last four meetings in Mellon Arena, but they won the last one. I totally agree with your analyze, Bill. Colorado will win that match. :ok
