10pts Pakistan to win Test Series 10/11 Stan James Pakistan are a big price in this test series. They are a strong side at home and although they've lost 2 key bowlers - Asif and Shoaib, it's not that bad because Kaneria will be the one doing most of the damage on these pitches. Pakistan still have the firepower to take 20 wickets. They have captain Inzamam back for the entire series and by following England we've seen how inspirational he can be. West Indies come here full of confidence having made it to the Champions Trophy final. However they've played a lot of cricket recently which will soon take it's toll. Windies have not won a series in Pakistan since 1980/81 when they were kings of the world. They've not won a series away from home at all for 3 years so winning here where Pakistan rarely lose series is unlikely. Rain won't play too much of a part but light will. As we saw when England toured Pakistan last winter at this time of year, darkness descends quite quickly and time will be lost during the matches. Even so though, this is a 3 test series and the only outcome I can envisage, despite the Windies recent 1 day successes is a home series win.

Re: Cricket: Pakistan vs West Indies Test Series Going to start the series off with 2 safe looking bets in the 1st test. 10pts Pakistan to win 1st test 2/1 Boylesports Pakistan are a crazy price here I think. They have a very good record at home. Rain is unlikely to play a part and although some time will be lost due to bad light there will still be enough overs to force a result here. Pakistan come into the match without Asif and Shoaib - both banned from cricket, and they have dropped Afridi, Naved and Iftikar from the squad for this match. In come Shahid Nazir and Yasir Hameed. Skipper Inzamam is also back for the tests after his ODI ban. I like the look of Pakistan's side here. They bat right down to number 8 and even Gul at 9 can hold the bat. Their batting is of course full of strength with the big 3 in the middle order. Hafeez has shown signs of quality at the top and Farhat and Malik will be much more at home back in Pakistan. Kaneria will be a key factor in the match with his leg spin as like all Pakistani pitches this one will turn. With Malik and Hafeez backing him up Pakistan will be tough to beat here. West Indies haven't had much preparation for this match. Having made the Champions Trophy final last week they only arrived in Pakistan on Monday and a quick 2 day game later here they are. Chris Gayle and Shiv Chanderpaul been laid low with a stomach bug and may not be fully fit to play. In the bowling department, Bradshaw, Smith and Samuels have all gone home but Fidel Edwards is in the squad. There is no real quality spinner though, only the slightly more than part time stuff of Chris Gayle. Pakistan beat England by an innings last year here, they'll be well up for winning this test and beginning to eradicate and forget about their last test which they had to forfeit in England and with them having the stronger batting lineup and the more potent spinner in Kaneria I will take them to open the series with a win. 10pts S.Malik's Performance Points 83&Over 5/6 Bet365 Points are scored as follows: 1pt per run, 10pts per catch & 20pts per wicket. Shoaib Malik hit some form in the Champions Trophy and is a very underrated player, particularly on the sub-continent wickets. Technically he's a good batsman who has the ability to score a lot of runs and his off spin often comes up with wickets. He's also 1 of the better Pakistani fielders. Batting at 6 he'll have enough time to build his innings and if he's in with the tail he can score boundaries to get Pakistan good late runs. On these pitches his spin will be a factor especially as the Windies batsmen don't tend to play spin that well so with the chance of a wicket or two coming his way I think over 2 innings he will cover this spread.
