mccres01 Posted October 20, 2006 Share Posted October 20, 2006 Detroit v S Louis (Sun) Detroit beat a Yankees side that fell apart during the post season and completed a 4-0 win against Oakland. St Louis beat San Diego and just squeezed past the Mets 4-3. The World Series stats show that the AL have a 7-3 lead over the NL and it should'nt count against Detroit that they only got in via the Wild Card. I thought Detroit have pitched really well and they had a week off which may count against them as they showed some momentum winning 7 in a row but they have the first two matches at Home.
