Unlike rip off London the taxi r quite good on prices. Taxi to yorkgate should be no more than a £5, Its very close to the city centre but at night i would discourage walking it. I'm not sure where that is in relation to the casino. The other place I know is the down by the odyssey arena if the casino is that side of town but I can't remember if that is a Jury's or a Holiday Inn Express. I think most people would be happy to go with what you suggest, with you guys having more local knowledge.
