I didn't read the NAB Cup too well at all, although I still feel bets surrounding Fremantle were the right way. They maybe need to sack Connolly as soon as possible because it looked like they still have the same problems. Essendon 7pt bet at 1.85 Centrebet Hird going down today has pushed the price out from 1.80 but overall they should be better prepared than Sydney. Kangaroos 7pt bet at 2.47 Pinnacle Think the door could be a little ajar with a few injury concerns at Port. Well worth trying Kangaroos at this price. Carlton 7pt bet at 3.65 Centrebet Melb look like taking in underdone players and White may not be full confidence yet and with Rivers 'doubtful' they can be shaky in key defence. Blues arn't scary on paper but they go in fit. They were good in the pre-season for what it's worth although main wait and see factor will be morale although it is Koutoufidas 250th. Fresh season and well worth trying them at the odds. Took 1.50 Geelong earlier. As they showed in NAB Cup their focus looks right this year, injuries or not, where I don't think it was quite right last year. Coolish weather forecast which won't provide Brisbane any frost bite as was the case when they fell over their in mid winter '04 but the relative difference can throw them out slightly I believe (I suppose what I'm trying to say is Geelong have a decent home advantage). Bit of let down danger off NAB Cup success and have also tightened in to 1.47 now.
