Raked hands

Apologies if this is a silly question (and I'm in little doubt that it is!) but can anyone tell me what actually constitutes a "raked hand" please. I've never played cash games before and having not been very confident with my poker before now I don't tend to deposit money for poker either, but I have to play 25 raked hands for Dream Poker to take up my seat in the Dirty Dozen final and thought it would help if I actually know what a raked hand is. :lol

Re: Raked hands Hi What constitutes a raked hand, I'm afraid to say, varies from site to site. But usually, for the pupose of most low limit cash games is the participation in a hand where 25-50c had been taken as a rake as a percentage of a hand. For instance, I believe at laddies this would mean that the pot must have reached $5 and you would have had to had paid the ante (if not in Big Blind) to see the flop, if the ante had been raised and you had tossed your hole cards pre flop, then this would not count. Most sites hide their information exceedingly well on the percentage of rake they take and do not make it brilliantly clear on how they define a raked hand for the purposes of freerolls etc. But seek and you shall find And I'm sure there are plenty of people here who will correct me if I'm wrong!:D
