Australia v. Sri Lanka. Game 8; VB series.

Recommended Posts

Sorry for the late post, (his starts in around an hour and 15), but if anyone is still awake, I think there's value to be had on the number of 6's hit in this game. 8 pts. 4 or less (2.375) 2 pts. 5 or 6 (4.50) ..which effectively gives stake back, and 1.85 odds for the under. (Odds at SportingBet...not sure if available anywhere else) Just too many, based on history. One one game in the 7 ODI's so far in this series have had more than 6 6's hit, it was the first game, when Sri Lanka's bowlers were really struggling, and it was also indoors in the Dome, so obviously perfect conditions. Other than that, the Sri Lankan games have had 3 6's @ Brisbane v. SA; 5 @ Sydney v. Australia, but Jayasuria hit 4 of those...he's doubtful for today's game, and even so, unlikely to repeat that innings; 5 @ Adelaide v. SA...Gibbs 3, Jayasuria 2; 4 @ Adelaide v. Australia. [Adelaide has very small boundaries, esp. square...smaller than the WACA ground @ Perth. Speaking of the ground...The last 8 d/n games at Perth have produced; 6 (Aus v. Pak...Afridi and Razzaq 2 each) 0 (Ind v. Zim.) 2 (Aus v. S.L.) 3 (Eng v. S.L.) 7 (SA v. NZ...Pollack hit 6 of them!!) 2 (WI v. Zim) 2 (Ind v. Pak) 1 (Eng . SL.) Games involving Australia; 6 (Aus v. Pak above) 4 (Aus v. Ind) 2 (Aus v. SL above) 8 (Aus v. SA ...Brett Lee hit 4 late!) 5 (Aus. v. Zim...Harvey hit 3 late) 0 (Aus v. Ind) 0 (Aus v. SL)...that's back to '98/'99. I think we'd be unlikely to see anything over 6...and 4 or less is extremely reasonable. :hope
