MattD
Hi all. Firstly, just like to say what a great forum :) My name is Matt Dale, and I'm a Director of a well known online gambling company (I won't post the link here, as don't want to spam). I had the idea yesterday of setting up a charity poker tournament to coincide with the International Casino Exhibition in London next week. (Tuesday 24th > Thursday 26th January). The exhibition attracts all the major players in the gambling industry, and will therefore include many representatives of online poker rooms. The idea for the tournament is as follows: Poker Industry Charity Poker Tourney 2006 ----------------------------------------- Entry Requirements ------------------ Each poker room puts forward 2 entrants to the tournament. Both entrants must work for the poker room. No professional players, or online players from your poker room are allowed. £1,000 entry per team of 2. 2/3 tables, depending on level of response. Prizes ------ 1 prize for winner of table A 1 prize for winner of table B 1 prize for winner of table C (if enough entrants for 3 tables) 2 prizes for 1st,2nd teams overall. 100% goes to charity Each team represents a charity of their choice. Poker Rooms Invited ------------------- 1) William Hill Poker 2) Ladbrokes Poker 3) Littlewoods Poker 4) Celeb Poker 5) King Solomons Poker 6) Poker.co.uk 7) Virgin Poker 8) bet365 Poker 9) VC Poker 10) Betfair Poker Teams signed up so far ---------------------- 3 replies all "yes" (emails only sent out this morning, so awaiting responses from the other 7) I'd like to know what people think of the idea, whether I've missed out any poker rooms I should have invited (especially if they have a uk office), and whether or not people would be interested in reading a report of the game if there was press/magazine coverage. Thanks for your time :) Cheers Matt
