GreenPlasticWateringCan
Re: What are the odds on this ?????? Well there is a 4/52 chance of the 1st card on the flop being a ten, and given that has happened there is a 3/51 chance of the next card being a ten etc. So I think the probability of the first 4 cards being tens is: (4/52) * (3/51) * (2/50) * (1/49) = 1 / 270725 = 0.0000037 = 0.00037% i.e. very small I think i've done the calculations right, although hopefully somebody else can confirm the answer
GaF
Re: What are the odds on this ?????? Only thing I would "argue" with - are we looking at the odds of getting 4 tens or the odds of four of a kind - I would say that any 4 cards the same at the turn would have prompted the "what are the odds on this" question - if that is the case, then the first card is irrelevent and it is the odds of the second and third and fourth cards matching the first - i.e. (3/51) * (2/50) * (1/49) = 0.0048% or 1 in 20,825 As you said - VERY small...... jeffers
Re: What are the odds on this ?????? The odds on TTTT are exactly the same as the odds of any other 4 card combination however :\
GaF
Re: What are the odds on this ?????? lol......agreed.......unless of course you hold one of the cards in your hand, in which case the odds are zero ;)

Guest
Re: What are the odds on this ?????? I expect many more than 20,000 hands are played online each day so it would be a daily occurance. Nice to see though :)

friskyfitz
Re: What are the odds on this ?????? and 20 minutes later i'm as good as out when on 9k chips an all-in is called by the guy on 8k before me. I have pocket Rockets and call. his QQ catches on the flop, I don't think a 5,6 suited kills my saving all-in 3-4 minutes later!! Poker is a strange old game but I know i'd prefer getting cards later in the game.... I will NEVER ever fold AA in an all-in situation pre-flop...EVER!!!!! maybe thats my downfall
