chris34 Posted January 21, 2016 Share Posted January 21, 2016 2.00 Lingfield Spring Loaded and Anonymous John bring recent form to the table where the latter was a neck behind Spring Loaded at Wolves, Anonymous John has since run again at Southwell where he was a good second and is clearly in good heart but now meets that rival on 3lb worse terms so has something to do to turn that around. Spring Loaded looks an improver and one to keep on side of at present. Hoofalong has been consistent recently but handicapper starting to look in charge up a frther 2lb for latest second and now 8lb above last winning mark and a career best required. Boomthegroom comes here after a break which is a slight worry but he is a useful AW horse and is running off his last winning mark. That said they will all have to go some way to beat Boomerang Bob if he reproduces his run last time out on Saturday. He ran an absolute stormer, probably a career best chasing homes a potentially very useful Godolphin prospect. He has been in good heart prior to that and yard continue in good form. arsenalfh Posted January 21, 2016 Share Posted January 21, 2016 3.15 Chepstow - Gunner Fifteen @ 9/1 SkyBet Gunner Fifteen came to Harry Fry as a really promising type but he's disappointed on two starts over hurdles but goes novice chasing tomorrow. He's thrown straight into a handicap as he's likely much better than his mark of 121 and I'm hoping the step up to 3m and the change to fences revitalise this winning pointer. He runs from 3lbs out of the handicap but has an excellent 7lb claimer on board and I'm willing to take a chance on him for a trainer who operates at such a high strike rate and will likely get him right soon. Padge was good on his debut and although the second won next time out the form as a whole doesn't look too strong and he was beaten miles out next time in a Grade 2 so he may find things tough of 143. Waldorf Salad comes here in good form but he's up 8lbs from his last run and no longer has the service of a 5lb claimer and while you can't rule out progress from the rest Gunner Fifteen looks the least exposed. On his return he ran in his first handicap and finished 2nd, beaten under a length. Has been put up 1lb but his mark looks OK assuming he comes on a bit for the run. He could well improve on that as he pulled hard and might have settled down after that outing Impossible to fancy the 2nd favourite, E Fourteen, who's up in the weights and in class after winning a shocking race last time by a head. The drop back to 5F hardly looks suitable for a horse who appears to be bred for middle distances Jess could be a danger having showed early speed over longer or stiffer tests in her outings last year. Tanarpino was really impressive at Catterick the other day, that track is a bit like this one but ha stop drop back in trip slightly here. It was a fair Class 4 handicap that day and one or two well backed horses in opposition. He took them apart and won by an easy 11 lengths, his mark is due to go up to 120 but gets in here with just the 7lb penalty so is in effect 8lbs ahead of the game.
