Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th Sandown 1:30 - Avidity WIN @ 11/2 Sky Bet This horse absolutely bolted up at Ayr last March and was highly regarded by the yard. Not sure why he was off the track for so long since, but he had his comeback at Musselburgh in January and was not knocked about. Should come on heaps and runs off a fair mark of 118.

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th 2.00 Sandown ON TREND @ 10/1 Betfred BOG Ran well here behind Unioniste last month, the ground was gruelling that day so you can forgive his poor run 11 days later. Although he has won on heavy his best form is on this type of ground. Is only 1lb higher than his last win but has twice won off marks higher than today including a win at the track.

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th Sandown 2.30 - Hel Tara (0.5 each way, 16/1 BetVictor) Won a bumper at Towcester on debut before a close 3rd of 6 at Lingfield and comes into this off the back of a convincing 3 length win at Huntingdon so looks a horse on the up and has potential it seems. But this is a big assignment pitched into listed company and would demand that improvement today. Jeremiah McGrath keeps the ride with Barry Geraghty preferring Broxbourne and he has won on her for those 2 victories. She needs to take a step forward in this company and is one who has potential to go well.

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th S1.30 Goldie Horn 1pt win 20/1 Bet365 Bottom weight and a really useful jockey that's able to claim 8lb for a powerful stable make this a decent punt at a nice price. The ground looks to be a bit patchy at Sandown with good bits, soft bits and bits inbetween, but if the ground is riding not too soft, this ones chances would be enhanced. Both wins have been on good ground at this trip and the handicap mark is definitely a winnable one if the all important ground dries out enough.

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th 19.15 Wolverhampton: Class 2 Handicap Luv U Whatever is on a three race winning streak and hasn’t been out of the money in five. All came at Southwell though. Has to transform this form to tapeta off career highest mark now. Gold Trail won his last two and seems to thrive on the AW. Talented individual, improving all the time. Had the run of the race lto when up with slow pace. Seems to do only as much as required. Unclear how much he has left and if he truly gets the trip. 4lb up but excellent 3lb claimer on board too. Entihaa is a classy stayer in fine form. Not far beaten last twice after winning two on the bounce. Drop in trip not sure to suit, though has past form over 12f. Career best required. John Reel won his last three and is greatly improved, thriving on the AW. Still rather lightly raced for his age. Won over variety of trips. Successful in hot 12f handicap at Lingfield, followed by 2m win at Wolverhampton lto. Turned out under penalty today. Saptapadi has won only one single race in his career and as a 9yo isn’t likely to improve. Should find this too tough. Verdict: It’s only a small field but there won’t be a lack of pace with most runners likely to prefer being up with the speed. Godolphin’s Gold Trail is a worthy favourite, showing good improvement lately and he he’s on a hat-trick today. He stepped up successfully to 12f at Lingfield the last time. But in my eyes that didn’t quite prove if he truly gets this trip as he had the run of the race tracking the leader who was crawling for most parts. Any flaws in his stamina will be exploited today. Already a six year old, but not many miles on the clock for that age, John Reel improved dramatically over the last couple of weeks and he seems to thrive over any sort of distance. Quickly turned out under a penalty now, he has to overcome a career highest mark and drops dramatically in trip again. Potentially he is good enough. Southwell specialist Luv U Whatever may not quite be suited by Wolverhampton’s tapeta surface. He has to be at his very best and I’m wondering if he is able to show that at this track. Saptapadi won’t play a role in this race, however Entihaa may well do. He’s likely to want it to be a stamina test and it remains to be seen if he has the speed for 12f these days. He’s clearly in fine form though, was in front until half a furlong out lto when John Reel got the better eventually, but meets the same rival on six pounds better terms today. The two red-hot in-form favourites John Reel and Gold Trail have any right be short prices. Both have the potential to improve further. However they are short enough and the trip is a question mark for most of the runners in this field, those two included. I feel Entihaa is well overpriced, though. Trip is a question mark, but he has done pretty well recently and he is worth a shot here in this field as he has been able to perform over 12f in the past. Entihaa @ 8/1 Coral

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th 2.00 Sundown: Ballybough Pat EW 11/2 bet365/Skybet Bet to nothing here in my opinion, Ballybough Pat was rated 137 over hurdles when running in the Challow Hurdle and the Pertemps Final in 2013. Came back after injury and ran in the Lanzarote before making his chasing debut at Leicester a couple of weeks ago. He ran well for a long way and ended up 4th beaten 18 lengths by a progressive sort in Algernon Pazham. He's now down to a mark of just 126 and must have every chance in this grade if he has come on anything at all for his debut experience. Noel Fehily keep the ride trainer David Dennis knows the time of day so looks tempting at the prices.

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th Fakenham 1.15 Summertime Lady (6/1 bet365 bog) Based on ATR last time out speed rating my selection is 21 points ahead of this field. This rating still only rates her as fourth best based on their best speed ratings, but it does represent an improvement on her previous outing where as the other runners appear to be hit and miss and inconsistent. So based on that I think she’s worth taking a chance on in what appears to be a poor race

Re: Nap Of The Day > Friday February 13th 2.10 Ling - Seek The Fair land - win at 2/1 bog Stan James 7F claimer My horse has won the last 3 times he has dropped down to claiming company from handicaps, including this race last year where he beat today's market rival into 2nd ran well LTO in a handicap coming back from a 5 month break and hopefully will be cherry ripe today Jubilee Brig is the obvious danger but might just be better at 6F
