Re: Nap of the Day - Monday 18th August Carthaginian 3.15pm Thirsk 33-1 PaddyPower (BOG) - 0.5pt EW I'm not picking this based on form as it has been well beaten and only has one maiden win in 11 starts. Somehow at some time this horse was expected to be pretty decent as it went for over 300,000 at the sales and has been with Henry Cecil, Ed Dunlop and Richard Fahey previously but I'm worried that if they can't work their magic then maybe this horses is just not very good. Cheekpieces are tried again but this is the first time a trip of 12f has been attempted. Now down to a career low mark of 60 and if unable to win an awful race like this they might as well just send it off to collect scrap with the gypsies. ;)
