Flat Racing 28th May

4.50 Hamilton Pixie Cut has been running respectably without looking a winner waiting to happen often staying on all too late, unlikely to get the strongest gallop to chase here and probably worth taking on on those efforts. Momkinzain hasn’t been seen on the flat for well over 2 years made into a reasonable hurdler although not best efforts last twice since return from a break. Potentially on a good mark but ground a concern. Saved By The Bell is the least exposed of these 7 with just 5 runs, appreciating this step up in trip last time out and also coming on for first run after 500 days off, this is 3rd quick run after that lengthy layoff a worry but if stepping forward again could prove hard to beat. A Southside Boy looks the safer option of the joint favourites, up 2lb for recent winning seasonal reappearance at Ayr on fast ground, this requires a career best on softer conditions but does have form on heavy ground and should be competitive if proving fresh enough again. 3 from 5 around here also a positive. Northside Prince must be worth chancing at a huge price in a small field. Didn’t show a huge amount on Fibresand at end of last year and has gone couple of years without a win bu has become dangerously well handicapped starting this season 11lb below last winning mark and has plenty of placed form off much higher marks. Will relish testing underfoot conditions likely by race time and has gone well fresh on a number of occasions with yard going well at present as well a bold run looks likely at a decent price. 2pt win Northside Prince 12/1 bet365 6.30 Beverley 3yr old only handicaps not usually my thing this time of year but one of these makes appeal to me having watched it recently. Guaracha makes handicap debut and turf debut in what are likely to prove very testing conditions and doesn’t completely shape as if in need of that and latest maiden form hasn’t worked out that great and mark looks on the harsh side on that. Bureau is another that wont want soft conditions on what he has shown so far and also doesn’t shape as if in need of further. Stanarley Pic ran a promising race on handicap debut last time out proving suited to testing conditions and well worth a try at a longer trip, yard going well and could go well. Emerahldz is another that will be suited by testing conditions having won last time out around here on heavy ground over 1m2f, stamina didn’t appear to be running out so should see this trip out up just 2lb for latest win. Lady Yeats shaped as if a handicapper to stay on side when creating a real good impression when winning with something to spare at Redcar over 1m2f in G/S ground winnign by 2 lengths and front 3 pulling well clear of remainder. Never involved last time out at Chester from a wide draw and getting behind. Drops down in class in a weaker race and should be suited by this step up in trip out of Yeats! 2pt win Lady Yeats 9/2 PP 7.15 Kempton Interesting AW staying handicap with a few of these of little interest with a lot to prove but a few that a case can be made for. Bramshill Lass is best forgiven his last run on turf always been much better on the AW and has now dropped 1lb below last winning mark, didn’t do anything on penultimate start over this CD though so something to prove. Montjess was 2nd when last seen over this CD back in March that race has a patchy look to the form, yet to win though and might be worth swerving for a yard mostly out of sorts. Jezza hasn’t shown much on last couple of starts and might just need a little help from handicapper. Guards Chapel another looking high enough in the weights at present 5lb above last winning mark. Money Talks showed little on the flat but has shown a bit more over hurdles this spring winning a maiden hurdle at Plumpton last time out, needs to translate that improvement to the flat here having been well held off a 3lb higher mark on handicap debut at Lingfield last summer. Arashi is a capable performer but is usually worth taking on these days and has long been frustrating and hard to win with. Might be worth sticking with the bottom weight Newtown Cross, he has won 3 of his last 4 starts on the polytrack over this trip, latested off a 3lb lower mark in a weak 4 runner event but doing so in eye catching style, not for the first time showed nothing on turf last time out and looks the sort to bounce back back on the sand. 2pt win Newtown Cross 9/2 PP

Re: Flat Racing 28th May Chepstow 5:15 I see there has been a bit of early money for Pandorica here and she still looks a bit of value at 10/1 in my opinion, I had her down as a 7/1 shot on my tissue. She is down to a very fair mark of 65 after a break and if she is fit she could take a bit of stopping. She is a course and distance winner and the mare absolutely loves it here at Chepstow with form of 1-2-4-2 from four runs here at the track. She is sure to go close if she is fit. Pandorica WIN @ 10/1 Bet365
