robertob Posted May 25, 2014 Share Posted May 25, 2014 A rather wet and chilly day at the Curragh yesterday on 2.000 Guineas day. Yet a pretty decent crowd actually and fair play to John Gosden for letting Kingman run in the grim conditions, as the mile course was soft to heavy. Kingman didn't bother and won so easily, just beautiful to watch, beating two really good horses in second and third. Slade Power won the Group 3 sprint in good fashion, Maarek didn't stand a chance against him. Johnny Murtagh had a nice winner with Pure Along in the Group 3 Lanwades Stakes.
