Haydock 2:40 - Betfred.com Temple Stakes(Group 2) (1) 5f The David Barron trained Pearl Secret was very well backed last time out in the Palace House Stakes but he could never land a blow and he will have to improve a good deal to reverse the form with Hot Streak and Sole Power. He has buckets of speed when he is on a going day though and it is far too soon to completely write him off. Kingsgate Native is another worth a mention here, this old boy showed he can still do it at the top when 2nd behind Sole Power last time out. I have backed the Irish raider Sole Power here who is far too big a price at 7/2 in my opinion. All he has to do is repeat what he did in the Palace House Stakes and he will land this race. The talented Oisin Murphy takes the ride on Born In Bombay for the Andrew Balding yard and this is another with a decent chance in what looks a very competitive handicap. This 3 year old colt won by 4 lengths at Kempton in a maiden back in February and he ran a good race when 2nd at Newmarket last time out. I think the Haggas trained Bilimbi looks a very progressive horse though and they would not have booked Ryan Moore if the horse was not fancied so he gets my vote.
