Was over to London for a business trip last week and took the chance on Friday to head out to Newbury. My first visit of the track and I was quite impressed. It didn't look like what I would have expected from watching it on TV, but it certainly is a lovely place to go racing. I love this long home straight. It really is made for fair races. On the other hand, I have to admit it was quite an expensive day. Entrance, food and beer is extremely expensive, compared to Ireland - which is already far from cheap...
