Peacock's Betting Log

Recommended Posts

I'm sorry to clutter up the place with a couple of threads recently, but I've been going through what could be called a transitional phase with my betting. So, rather than having threads for different 'specialisations' (is that a word?!) this will contain all my bets for the foreseeable future. The reason for putting all my bets in here is that all too often I have 'thought' I have done well in one particular sphere, but these assertions ave been based on hunches and bits of old betting logs I used to keep way back. I want this to be a good resource which I can look back at next spring between Aintree and the Lincoln and see exactly where my strengths lie, I say strengths, what I probably mean is least weak weakness. :) I've also been looking at different ways of doing things and am going to try to incorporate those into my betting, these involve bigger priced horses so stakes will be small (2pt win / 1pt E/W) and odds generous (mostly). An accurate P/L will be kept and I will update this first post at regular intervals. Cheers.

Re: Peacock's Betting Log 3.50 Beverley WOODY BAY has a decent chance at decent odds in this race. Will have needed the run LTO on ground that wasn't ideal and got beaten 4L in a much better race. Conditions should suit today and has Graham Lee on board who has won on him before. Should be on the premises. WOODY BAY 1pt E/W @ 10/1 (BetVictor BOG) 5.00 Beverley SILLY BILLY, with the jockey's claim, effectively runs off 56 today which is a good 11lbs off his best AW form in the winter. He wasn't disgraced in his last race on turf 10 days ago when 4L 6th on ground that wouldn't suit. There is a worry that he is a bit of a Southwell specialist horse but has won round here and goes well on the ground (has shown ALL best form on today's GF). SILLY BILLY 1pt E/W @ 17/2 (BetVictor BOG)
