Doncaster 1:10 The Tony Carroll yard has come into a bit of form in recent weeks and I find it interesting that he has two runners in this contest. Noel Fehily is on his other horse but the one I like is the one ridden by Lee Edwards, Arte Del Calcio. Although the horse has only won 1 race from 31 which was on the flat, his last few runs over the timber were off marks of 100 - 102.. He gets to run off a mark of 92 tomorrow so although I understand he is a rather poor horse he has now been given a good chance by the handicapper and 25/1 looks too big a price for me to ignore. He has finished 4th in better class than this at Warwick when he finished 6 lengths behind In The Crowd and this is a Class 5. He ran at Lingfield on the all-weather two weeks ago and never got into the race so I have a sneaky suspicion Carroll might have been getting him ready for a big run over the timber, I hope.
